The spire of the Spaarnekerk in Haarlem. His love of historic buildings drove entrepreneur Luigi Prins to personally save the spire from brutal demolition. The Romans knew it and called it genius loci: the soul of a place or building. Architects know this and allow the soul of a place to inhabit their buildings. Luigi Prins knows this. The rescue of the spire – now over 35 years ago – was the reason for him to found Cobraspen. Mission? Matching extraordinary people with historical real estate. Real estate with a story. And soul.
